Lifesaving Victoria – Survey and Census
Life Saving Victoria (LSV) have been undertaking the Lifesaving Capability and Resourcing Review, or LCaRR for short.
This project was aimed at clubs and LSV being able to better understand their members and how the organisation could evolve to meet the changing needs of the community, government and volunteers.
Fairhaven Active members will shortly receive an email from LSV – [email protected].
It will request that you check your contact details via clicking an individualised link. Following the completion of the mini-census, members will also be asked to complete a survey, collecting information for the wider review. The Mini-Census should take no more than 5 minutes to complete, with the survey taking approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Further details below – it would be greatly appreciated if members could take the time to complete this to assist LSV in this project.
- Mini-census (SurfGuard update) – We are conducting a volunteer mini-census by asking all volunteers to update their details on SurfGuard. Each member will receive a personalized link, asking to check and update a pre-filled collection of their information. This will allow us to gain an accurate understanding of member demographics, and the skillsets of our members. Information gained will assist with targeted recruitment strategies and the promotion of opportunities for existing members within lifesaving.
- Survey – The survey will focus on reasons for volunteering, potential barriers faced, further opportunities in lifesaving, feedback on service provision in Victoria and any areas for improvement. Information gained will assist with retention and recruitment strategies along with lifesaving service provision strategic development.
Please try to stay fit, active and positive during the shutdown phase! We will be in touch again when we have further news about reduction of restriction on club use and activities.
